A Postcard from the Great British Summer.

This was inspired by an extremely damp June evening spent in Queens Park the other night. Being a Hastings born lad I actually love the seaside in the rain so this is drawn with great affection. To sharp stones under your feet, vicious seagulls, the acrid smell of vinegar on chips & the steady patter of rain! Rule Britannia!

Happy Saint George's Day!

On St Georges Day we celebrate the thoroughly English knight Saint George who did the proper English thing & had a nice chat & an English cuppa & a Jammie Dodger™ with the dragon. (before biffing him when he wasn't looking & nicking his biscuits!)
* NB 'Biffing', for ALL of you home schooling right now is actual Old English for 'hitting a reptile with a blunt object' deriving from the Anglo Saxon 'byffinge'
(not to be confused with 'byffing ye worme' which is an Anglo Saxon euphemism for self-abuse!)

Happy St George's Day

Actual pictorial evidence of the English knight St George thudding* the dragon

*'Thud' is actually an Old English word for 'hitting a reptile with force' ask Susie Dent.

Dazed dragon

Here's a slightly dazed dragon for St George's day!

Happy St George's Day!

(I have contributed to suitable dragon-cruelty charities & will politely draw a veil over the fact that Saint George never actually set foot in England...shhhhhhh!)
