Pixies!

I adapted this drawing for the Pixies t-shirt competition on BBC Radio 6 for a bit of fun (yep, I'm not eligible because I make my living from drawing / designing stuff) Still a great band & off to see them tonight in London!

Klöwnfingerr - Master of Muppets

Unfortunately the rumours that Klöwnfingerr have been lined up as a replacement for the Foo Fighters at Glastonbury 2015 were generally 'made up nonsense' according to band spokesman Jonathan Madeupname who also claims they had 'categorically NOTHING whatsoever to do with Dave Grohl's leg getting broken'
The legendary Moldovan death metal / gabba combo - have been described as ‘a special needs Limp Bizkit minus the intellectual heft with the 'dolt’ knob turned up to 12’

Their classic album Master of Muppets comprising of 137 tracks including classics like 'Brainclot', 'Klöwngäsmm' & 'MMMNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGHH!!!!!' is a must for any music collection.

They are available for weddings, children's parties & light gardening work.

Hastings Independent Artist Profile

I was extremely flattered (& blushing) by Kate Renwick's lovely artist's profile which was featured in issue 25 of the Hastings Independent.
As some of you might know, I was born in Hastings & spent my childhood & teenage years there & the article was published immediately prior to my band Das Fluff's incredibly enjoyable gig in Hastings on the 20th March.
It was the first time I've played back in Hastings for many years (we'll draw a veil over how many!) so was a particularly special gig to me.

Cats, trumpets, elephants & more...

These new prints were designed & drawn specifically for a private commission recently - lots of fun to draw & incorporate certain specific references in the artwork to personalise them.
They also happen to have some of my favourite things in them, elephants, cats, penguins, balloons & pizza (in no particular order)

Old rockers never die (they just appear in more documentaries)

I love a good rockumentary, was watching various '70s survivors in varied stages of 'ageing pantomime dame mode' telling their stories on TV the other night...

'Spurious Gack Anecdote', really ought to be a name of a band

Monkey Theremin (niche publications we have loved)

I love a specialist publication me! (apparently if you give an infinite amount of monkeys theremins eventually they'll compose all of Beethoven's...oh wait, that's typewriters & Shakespeare isn't it?)

My name's Johnny...

"an' tell all the commies, my name's Johnny, Johnny PISSOFF"

I'm in the process of throwing out old cassettes(!) which have been hanging around in boxes since a very long time ago & found a wonderful compilation which contained The Fugs delightfully titled 'Johnny Pissoff Meets The Red Angel'- this was drawn in response...

Happy People by Das Fluff

Ok, it's not illustration or animation but I make exquisite guitar noise with Das Flüff & wave megaphones around in a dangerous manner & thought you might want to hear this too

Musical Genres #2 - '70s Sitcom Homosexuals

The '70s Sitcom Homosexuals - conceived as a high art / low art post-post ironic performance art / conceptual electronica project - ended up sounding like below par Berlin-era David Bowie with all the good bits taken out (with more songs about alienation, robots & vending machines*.)

Musical genres # 1 - Random Thud

Wherein the beats can range from 400 bpm down to 1-2 beats in a 24 hour period rendering it 'well jittery!' There are unconfirmed reports of Random Thud club nights lasting for several months
